Matching equipment-finance customers to known lenders before lender review

Before an equipment-finance deal goes to a lender or underwriter, someone has to answer a practical question: which known lenders would actually consider this customer? Rocko built a custom tool for that step. The team enters the customer information they have, the tool compares it with each known lender's lending guidelines, and the team does its own diligence before anything goes out for approval.

Customer information and known lender guidelines feed customer–lender matching, then team due diligence, then separate lender review.

The short answer

Rocko built a custom equipment-finance tool that matches customers to known lenders based on the customer information provided and each lender's lending guidelines. It gives the team one place to do its due diligence on a deal before sending it to a lender or underwriter for approval.

The problem it solves

Every lender has its own guidelines for the customers and deals it will consider. When those guidelines live in people's heads and scattered notes, it's easy to send a deal to the wrong lender, or to send it before the homework is done. A deal that was never a fit still costs time for everyone who touches it.

What the tool does

  • Gives the team one place to enter the customer information they have
  • Compares that information with the lending guidelines of known lenders
  • Shows which known lenders line up with the customer, so the team knows where to look first
  • Supports the diligence the team wants done before a deal reaches an underwriter

How a deal moves through it

  1. The team enters the customer information they have.

  2. The tool compares it with each known lender's lending guidelines.

  3. The team reviews the lenders that match.

  4. They finish their own due diligence.

  5. They send the deal to a lender or underwriter, who makes the approval decision.

A match is a starting point, not an approval

Matching tells the team which known lenders a customer lines up with based on the information provided. The lender or underwriter still reviews the deal and makes the call. The tool helps the team show up prepared.

Built to stay private

This tool works with customer information and lender guidelines, which is exactly why it isn't on display. We don't publish client names, screenshots or a live demo of software built for a customer. We explain the idea clearly instead, and if we build something for you, your tools get the same discretion.

Useful for teams that

  • Work with a set of known lenders, each with its own guidelines
  • Want a consistent first check before a deal goes out
  • Would rather do their diligence up front than learn about a mismatch after submission

FAQ

Does the tool approve financing?

No. It matches customers to known lenders and supports the team's diligence. Approval stays with the lender or underwriter.

Can we see it?

No. It was built for a customer and works with customer information, so it stays private. We're happy to talk through how the matching works on a call.

Can you build something like this for us?

If your team works from known criteria, like lender guidelines, eligibility rules or intake requirements, that kind of matching can often be turned into software. Tell us how your process works and we'll tell you honestly whether an app makes sense.
